New Member & Owner of 5 G/Punto Driving School Cars

Hi to all,

I have owned the 5 G/Puntos for the last 6 to 8 months. They are 1 X 1.2 Active 3 door, 1 X 1.4 Active 5 door, 2 X Sport 3 doors and a 1.4 Sporting 3 door.

In 2002 when I started the driving school we went from one to seven 1.2 Active Sport Puntos in 2 years and when the eighth was on order I had 5 in the garage for repairs and told them where to stick the eight one and gradually got rid of them as they were too unreliable.

I did a bit of research last August and was advised the New Grande Punto was a better all round car and I must admit apart from a couple of wee niggles you get with most new cars nowadays they have proved to be somewhat more reliable.

I have joined mainly to keep an eye on any faults others may have and to report any that I think others should know about and to contribute where I can with driving or car related issues.

Sorry to hear you had problems with your driving school Puntos. What kind of faults were you getting with them bearing in mind driving school cars tend to get quite a lot of abuse?
