And the story goes...
6months ago I bought a cinq to learn to drive in
booked my test in feb for 02/05/08 and Saturday morning received a letter to say my test was cancelled and moved till 04/07/08! So monday I rang them to have a rant. They basically told me to **** off and wait.
The date I was given I could not do anyway as my instructor has a test that day. So I went on the DSA site to change the date and what did i see?... A last min cancellation for 8:20 the next morning? so I quickly reserved it and had 15mins to contact my instructor and ask if i can do it. He agreed!
later that day I had a driving lesson.
Could this be fate?...
So yesterday I got up at 6AM and met up with my instructor at 7 for a test day lesson.
In the waiting room with 3 other people and in walk 3 examiners... and I am left alone thinking GREAT somethings gone wrong. Then in rolls a little fat women who calls me over.
I hand over both parts of my license. Plastic part bent in half and paper part torn and looking like it was used by a tramp as a blanket.
I try to make a joke out of it but she showed no emotion! Great I thought, She might as well hand me the fail sheet now.
While on the test I kept having a sneaky look at the sheet and noticed there was no marks! So I guessed she will fill them out at the end. Around about half way thru the test we where stuck in traffic for about 5mins (yay you dont gain any points while your not moving ) while waiting she was asking me about my motorcycle and found out she rode a bike herself.
After the test she said I had passed with only one minor! I was like ONE?!?! your joking when did i get that?. It seemed I got one minor for not checking me center mirror when slowing down to turn BACK(!) into the test center!
I was quite gutted by that and actually made the examiner laugh as she don't get many people disappointed after they passed hehe
My instructor was even more impressed as the best pass in hes 10year was 2 minors. And I had only had 6 lessons Im also the only person hes gave lessons to hit a cat (yay LOL)
Someone MUST be on my side this week! So who do I thank? My chiq? a biker examiner? instructor? dead cat?
To be fair I passed my motorcycle test at 17 I guess that helped my nerves as i knew how the test worked! But i still didnt think i would pass!
WOOO
The fun ended when I got home and rang my insurance to tell them I had a full license and they told me I needed to give them 400quid to continue the 6months left on my policy! what a fcuking rip off! would of been better off on L plates still!
