My wife and I just bought a 2002 Stilo 1.6 Dynamic, very happy with it so far, never owned a Fiat before and we are a bit nervous as far as reliability are concerned.

So far we have a really bad noise from the NSF headlight when main beam is on and a slight burning smell after the engine is shut off but this vanishes quickly.

Otherwise all is well, please let it remain so :worship:

I'm most worried about the headlight, keep getting flashed at whilst driving and this thing is buzzing like made, any pointers?

When I use "follow me home" I have a buzzing from the headlight. but when it engine is running I can't hear it.

I get flashed if I have passengers in the rear, but this is because the rear springs are very soft. So I just adjust the beam to level 3 (and still get flashed by some people!)

It could be that your headlight motor is on constaintly? This may also be the burnning smell?

Thanks, I thought the same, only happens when main beam or full beam are on, side lights it is fine and only the NS light, trouble is since we got the car its been dark when I have time to look at it and I don't know what I'm doing

Could it be a bad connection or a computer fault? :idea::idea:

Don't even think that I know what I'm talking about but...

It sounds like the motor is trying to do somthing - adjust headlight maybe?

Does the sound stop if you adjust the lights to 3? Does the light move at all? Park facing a wall/garage door and see if the hight of the lights move properly.

(Please bare in mind I'm just throwing ideas about, and I'm usually wrong! )
