Hi All,

Looks like the drive belt has started to fail on our beloved Multipla, I had already planned having the Cam Belt replaced as we are nearing 60,000 miles.

Got a quote of £500+ from local Fiat dealer for cam belt change, they said it was expensive as it included a big service.

Don't think I will be using main dealer but question is what else should I be looking at getting done whilst having the cam belt changed?

I've seen forum members mention replacing the drive belt tensioners and also that water pumps have been known to prematurely fail.

I would appreciate any advice from anyone who has had the cam belt changed as to what else should be done at the same time e.g.

* Cam Belt
* Cam Belt tensioner (is there such a thing, should it be changed?)
* Drive Belt
* Drive Belt tensioner
* Water pump?

P.S. Anyone recommend any good FIAT parts suppliers? Also recommendations for garages around North Yorkshire were I could have the work done (not Main Dealer!).

One of the rear wheel bearing is also rumbling (appears to be common around 60k!) Anyone replaced the bearing themselves on 2002 or newer models (rear disk brake), any special tools required ?

Thanks in advance

Kelbert
