Hi everyone, newby alert...
Bought an 82k mile W-plate Multipla last November, it's an ELX JTD105 in silver with blue interior. I paid £3,250 and it's immaculate with FSH. My (initially sceptical) wife utterly loves the car.
So far it's all good, we get between 500 and 600 miles to a tank with mostly town driving, and everything works fine. The engine still feels tight and responsive, unlike another that I test drove which felt very loose and baggy in comparison. My only gripe is that the seat material isn't very hard wearing.
I do have a few questions, if anyone can help:
1: I broke off the aerial when trying to unscrew it before going through a car wash - how do you get to it from the inside to swap it?
2: There seems to be a low-pitch hum (not particularly obtrusive but not just tyre noise either) at speed - it's not related to the engine or gearbox as if you declutch the noise remains. Any common wheel bearing issues?
3: There always seem to be clocks on ebay, the later ones with the integral computer & rev counter. Can I fit one of these to my earlier car and if so, is it simple to get the rev counter & computer working, and the mileage set to the same as the old clocks were reading?
Cheers all
Nick
PS Also looking for the fridge to replace the front centre seat....and a vgc blue driver's seat if anyone's got one...
