Just got the above as getting to old to lift wife into my freelander. Sadly I find the ride very harsh. Its a brotherwood conversion with a lowered floor. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi. What wheels does yours have,as the 17" ones do tend to make for a harsher ride. The remedy is to swap them over to 15",which with a taller tyre sidewall should soften things up.

Hi :)

General ride.. or certain elements?

10 year old rubber isnt the best..

Both on the wheels.. and the suspension components..

How many miles has it done?

Low profile tyres on 17 inch wheels make them a bit harsh. Not dramatically different though. I am going to look at tyre options to help improve this when next changing.
I have a 2010 with similar milage.

Good idea - will have to drive a non converted one and see if there's a difference.

OP, we also have the Brotherwood wheelchair conversion and the ride in ours is good, very comfortable I find. We have 15" wheels. 50K when bought in 2019, now 58k.

I suggest the problem is due to either tyres as mentioned or worn suspension.
