Er, I don't know how to say this but I MIGHT be parting company with the Bug, (shock n horra) I've been given a half decent Volkswagen Passat, there's a few minor bits need tinkering with (rear electric windows, a rattle in the dash etc) but nothing major. Gonna give it a run round today and if it puts a smile on me kissa the bugs gonna be parked up for a few weeks.

The biggest problem these bugs come with is:

They're so damn practical they're bloody hard to replace.

I actually fancied a Skoda Octavia Estate but hey, it's free, so whose moaning?

Be have a reputation for poor rear windows and door latch solenoids both requiring new parts

Have to keep an eye on it but it all seems ok at the mo.

Hoping everybody is doing alright. I've been a bit bizzy playing with 'housey' stuff... sister blew her steam generator iron up - so I 'fixed' it, it won't blow up again. Mind you, it won't do any ironin either
