I'd think that would be a pig of a job. The roof pressing is very different. They were available on the facelift models but only as an optional extra (except for the very early ones, I think - those with the same seat fabric as the last of the roundnoses). So you don't see them as often as on the roundnose, where they were standard fit on the ELX.

Yes last Friday.

If I go back to scrapyard and multi not yet crushed is there anything you want to know that's easy to spot?
The reason I asked is that I am selling a pair with free roof lining and hoped that someone with a solid roof might like to fit mine!! (obviously not TubThumper73)

I suspect the construction of the roof is the same as that on the UglyBug. Could you check if the roof has the 1mm recesses for the sunroof panels and if the roof lining is the same. If the lining is a different shape someone might need to buy it.

Where is the scrapyard based?

Ugly bug non sunroof roof is corrugated so not possible to retro fit sun roof/s too.
I don't know if the boring face lift non sunroof roof is smooth or corrugated.

Face lift non sunroof is corrugated.

Always loved the double sunroof on multipla and never had that much trouble.
