ok so my multipla 2007 washer motor works ok with noise but just a dribble coming out, disconnected the 3 piece non return valve and connected to just the drivers side works brilliantly and same with the passenger side soon as i reconnect the non return t piece just a dribble, so my question is has anybody had the non return valve fail ? and other ideas that might cause this ? at the moment i have just the drivers side and rear wiper connected and they are working fine, been googling but can't seem to find a non return valve for a 2007 fiat multipla so anyone got a link please,JP
 
Hi.
The valve can be prised open..

However.. as 1st check..

Connect the hoses 'in reverse' to backflush the valve.

Personally .. on my siliar marea..

I placed all the valvegear.. hoses nozzles etc. In a bowl of clean water.. and flushed out all of the system.

Yeah ..on my Idea ..the washers were not working ...the pump worked but no water came squirting out ...and so I checked all the visible parts and found a three way connection ...tucked under the plastic bit beneath the windscreen...I poked a bit of wire into it and flushed hot water through it ...but no luck ...then I discovered that with a very small screwdriver you can prise it open ....and inside there is a filter that was packed with crud ..I left it over night in hot water and a bit of washing up liquid and the next day flushed all the crap out ...re assembled the pipe work and it now works perfectly front and rear washers ...result ...

what bit prises open ?
 
Hi jpuk .....The three way connector bit..I think one pipe comes up from the pump/washer bottle and two pipes go off to the windscreen washers ...This is on my fiat Idea it might be similar to the multi ...it's dark here now in Crete but in the morning I will fish around under the valance ? and take a photo ..it's a y shaped connector thingy ....
 
I ended up buying some new hose from an aquatic shop and a new three way connector,and ran it from the pump up to the washers. It fixed my problem of dribbly washer jets and has been ok for the past two years.
