Hello,

I have a 1999 1.6 Petrol Multipla. I have tried to connect my ELM327 bluetooth to it but Torque does not work. Phone connects to the adapter and the adapter works as I have been using it for years.

I have tried using Alfa OBD (Fiat Auto Group) for Android and it connects to the car but then it asks for ECU code, consisting of 5 digits.

The car unfortunately, did not came with the little cards with the codes printed on them for the keys and radio code etc. so maybe the code was one of them?

I've read most issues related to OBD on the forum but it doesn't seem someone else has had this issue.

Is it just because I am using Alfa OBD and not Multiecuscan?

The ELM 327 is original and has worked with the diesel 2008 Fiat Multila 1.9JTD, Smart ForTwo, Alfa Romeo 166 etc. with no issues.

Please let me know what my options are for connecting to the OBD.

Thank you!

Yeah, turns out I'm an idiot and when AlfaOBD was asking for a code, I could just tap on "Connect to ECU".

In other words, could someone please let me know if there are any other apps for Android that can connect to the Multipla?

I tried using Torque but it can't connect. My goal is to monitor the car's sensors (water temp, fuel, RPM etc.) . If not, I can keep using AlfaOBD as it seems to do the job.

Thank you

Hello,

Multiecuscan is similar, yes but only for iOS and PC. I have an Android. No plans on an Androi app just yet, as far as I know.

Torque Pro doesn't connect to the car, unfortunately. Couldn't connect to an Alfa Romeo 166 from the same year also but AlfaOBD could for some reason (bug for year 1999 cars, maybe?)

I'm trying to track water temp, voltages and engine RPM. I don't know what other sensors there are so I can see what I need or not.

The car will make very long journeys and I want it tip-top shape before and during the trip, not to mention I will be setting alarms for sensors to trigger below a certain level before it would start affecting the car.
