Dropped this old girl off at the scrapper today, feel bad about it, couldn't even bring myself to look at her in there.

Anyone want a set of roof bars for free? If you're coming near Colchester give me a shout, you can have the timing tools and anything else I can find.

Sad news. She looked so sorry in that photo you posted of her on here about 3 weeks ago. Like a dog that knows it's about to make a one-way trip to the vets.

Anyway, thanks for all the fun/informative posts you made in this thread, along the way.

All the best,
Matt

Hi, sorry to here of another Multipla departing our roads but sadly sometimes you just have to call it a day.
If no one takes you up on the offer of the free roof bars could I have them if I pay the carriage or can you hang onto them until i'm down south at the end of May?
Which scrap yard did it go to (phone number)? I could do with the o/s/f wheel arch liner that protects the bottom engine pulley as a mechanic left mine off when he swapped the alternator!!

Many thanks.
Simon

I'm afraid the roof bars have been sort of basgsied on another forum. I'll let you know if that falls through.

Also that wheel arch liner you mention - didn't have one either. I was making considerable effort to find one in the 18 months of owning the car. Even considered making some kind of shield out of a road sign or something.

Bizarrely, Autodoc have new ones, albeit pattern ones, and for not much money:

Unfortunately, I think this is one of the items that they class as 'too large' to ship to the UK, so although you can add it to your shopping cart, I don't think it will let you go through with the purchase. If you've got a friend in mainland Europe that could make the purchase then forward it for you, it might be possible, as they aren't particularly big and I reckon they'd stand up to a bit of shipping abuse anyway.
