The multipla has gone. After 6 years and 90000 miles the rear subframe bushes went at just the wrong time (time, money, other commitments).

Rather than scrap it (no one wanted it as spares or repairs) I have donated it to Practical Classics magazine. I don't know if it's going to be a project car or one of the challenges they do. Hopefully it will be back on the road and off to a good home.

Thanks for all the help on what has genuinely been the best car I've owned.

Sad to see you go. Seems a great shame that you've had to get rid of the car in difficult circumstances, but at least it's gone to a good home. Perhaps you could suggest to Practical Classics that they give the car back to you, after they've fixed it up?!

Hello! My Multa is going in tomorrow for a load of work because there's damn all else I could replace her with. I'm sorry for another loss from the fleet but it'll probably only be cheaper to bin it if you can afford a much better replacement.
Having said that, what? Just the other day we bought a new dishwasher; the retailer asked if we wanted to take it straight home so, open up that huge tailgate, tip two seats forward and load the big box. And we still had a comfortable four seater that's shorter than a Golf.
This is our fourth Multipla and I have had nothing else since 2001.To be honest I'd love a change but there's nothing that drives like a car, loads like a van and carries people better than the Frau's XF. It looks like Multipla until further notice.
