Oh well my multi failed it's NCT (MOT)today... corrosion on the legs that go between chassis and sills.
3 sections...
Not sure what to do... recently did the belts and pulleys ... new wishbones... new strut too mounts last year, replaced front subframe,running real well.
Welding wouldn't be my strong point but I've done a bit and have a small mig... I'd need it on a ramp tho as dint fancy welding in my back!!

Anyone had to do similar to theirs??

Drive on ramps are cheap especially if used.
Get it on ramps , clean up problem areas , weld it up, small mig is all you need.
+Ve attitude will get you through.
 
Cheers all... will see, haven't decided if I'll tackle it or not. Money is tight at the minute and the multi is expensive to tax and insure(1800 a year).
So if I came across a clean panda it would do me fine as I'm only doing the odd school run these days.

Check out what a Panda would cost to buy , insure and tax, then decide if that's a sensible option as money tight.

I had a good look at it yesterday... there's too much work involved sorting it. (I'm not in a position to do it myself right now).... so I'm going to park it up and maybe go at it next year. Going looking at a cheap petrol scenic I think. I'm not even doing 100km a week.
I'll still be checking in here though...
