Hi
I have a 2000 Multipla with a removable tow hook that has been lost. It was made by Westfalia, but they tell me that model is no longer in production.
Is there some kind soul out there that would like to sell me their surplus tow hook?
Thanks

Hi George
Thanks for your offer.
I'm not sure what the difference is between mine and a conventional one. Would it mean replacing the whole installation, or could I just use your hook?
Also how much were you looking for it?
Thanks
Patrick

I'm not sure mate, better to nip into a knackers yard to see how a conventional one fits and compare it with what yours looks like.
Sorry I can't be clearer than that, but it's not hard to find out
George

Might not be able to easily replace the existing towbar since holes will have been drilled in the chassis, and probably won't line up with a different make - but could be close enough to make the part weaker. I'm sure it will be possible but you may need to get the holes patched first before new holes can be drilled.

A non-removable towbar doesn't look too bad on a Multi and doesn't disrupt the flat loading or even the reversing sensors.

My Owner Handbook* shows the fixing locations and bolt sizes.
You can be sure that any towbar manufacturer will refer to those and any make of towbar should fit.
