I have a 2001 petrol with a rear wheel issue. Both rear wheels are leaning inwards (negative camber) and the wheels are beeing worn heavily on the inside. Is this possibly a subframe bushing issue?

I am currently contemplating wether I should give the car an overhaul or if it might be time to maybe move along...

it's the rear radius arms, about £70 each, exchange. The bearings fail. I had both done a while back. The cost made my eyes water. You can do it yourself, a search on rear radius arm will bring up pages about it; it's a common failing.
You can buy just the bearing kit rather than a whole arm assembly, it depends what gear you have and what spanner skills.

Thanks! Ill have a look. With that pricetag I guess I will try to handle this myself unless I decide to scrap the bug. I have access to a scraped car but I guess that using old radius arms is probably a bad idea.

The arms will probably be fine, it's the bearings that go and they can be got quite cheaply. The reconditioned arms are just cleaned up and new bearings fitted
Removing the arms from the scrappy will be good practice.
Bearings about £27 each side on eBay

I have recently removed the trailing arms from a multipla , it's not that bad a job . The most difficult part was driving the pivot bolts out due to corrosion, use a bigger ? is the answer and always satisfying.

Have a look at the arms on the scrap car if they are ok there's nothing wrong with using them.
