Can anyone help I have a 57 plate diesel multipla which I need a new engine for. I can't find the engine code for it? I've seen a 2010 engine and was wandering if it's compatible with my car. 1.9 multijet is engine type

I've found engine code it's 186A9000
So now need to know if all diesel 2010 multipla engines will fit

Ask the person selling the 2010 engine for their code?

You're right to question engine numbers, I got a 2004 for its engine, only to find that the engine wouldn't go into the car because I'd need to change all sorts of electrics from the old engine to the 'new' engine - then found that a lot of the connectors wouldn't fit, they had been either completely changed or the the position of the male and female parts had been reversed.
Fiat don't like to make life too easy for its followers.
