Our Multipla multijet is looking for a lot of attention lately. After replacing the EGR valve to get rid of the EML, fault P2081 (temp sensor on pre-catalyser reading high) showed up on the Multiscan after the EML stayed on. This appear to be quite expensive. Anyone know of a cheap source for a suitable EGT?
It also lost power for a few seconds today and a fault indicating either MAF or MAP was recorded, but its running perfectly since. Will wait for this problem to return but in the meantime a not too pricey EGT sensor would be useful.

Solved the EGT sensor problem........ The connection was loose! All it needed was to be pushed home fully. So no need for a new sensor thankfully. I'm still not sure about the loss of power problem though which has happened three times since I fitted a new EGR - hope its not faulty. Its a Meat and Doria brand. A fault was only recorded one of those three times relating to air mass but not specific if i remember correctly. Will wait and see.

Just incase anyone else is looking for the location of the sensor, its not the one on the DPF which seems to be commonly mentioned when googling this error code, its just down from the turbo! At least it is on the Doblo 1.9 120hp 2006 MultiJet.
Garage spend over £100 replacing the one on the DPF... took me a while checking the voltage & ground of the lead going to the ECU everything checked out fine (one should be ground and the other should be zero volts normally and then go up to about 5 when the ignition is turned on). I couldn't find a datasheet for the actual sensor thats on the dpf but i did find one for a bosch alternative one which listed all the resistance values for each temperature range. Everything checked out fine... confused i then took off the bottom engine tray, saw the other sensor just along the exhaust pipe from the turbo and oh look the wire has been worn through by one of the clip mounts. Took it off the car cut the cable and re-soldered it, tested the resistance, heat shrinked it and then put it back in the car for testing. Cleared the codes from the ECU for the hundredth time and no fault code !!

Very happy, just thought i'd post here incase anyone else is looking for the info! google this "bosch pt 200e" if you want the datasheet for the bosch alternative sensor which gives all the ohms values for bench testing if your sensor is faulty.

hope it helps someone!
