Help!!

Have a Jtd with a 5 speed box and the selector bar has snapped on top of the gearbox. Have replacement part and everything is disconnected and in place but cannot get the selector shift out of the box? Can move it to select other gears and get it into neutral but won't come out any more than 2-3 inches then sticks?

Any ideas greatly received as don't want to have to spilt the box if I can avoid.

Bad news I'm afraid the box needs to be separated
The part you have is connected at the bottom of the arm inside the box
Just be steady and methodical when you split the box
Take tons of Pics as you go so that you get it back together ok
Give yourself plenty of room and time and it's completely doable
If you can get the box off the car you can do it
Don't try to force the diamond shaped securing plate it will snap
I did mine about 18month back but don't havf any pics sorry
It took me about 1&1/2 hrs
Have faith in yourself it'll be fine
I couldn't find any info to help just tear into it and you'll be ok
