I'm having a problem with my petrol Multi (2001 - 128K) in that it has recently started cutting out at junctions or in stop/start situations (or reversing) where the throttle is 'blipped' slightly when trying to inch forward/back.
Other than that is has been running fine with no problems at speed.
Does this sound like the symptoms of a failing speed/crank sensor? At the moment it does not cut out even when nthe engine is hot. If so - not sure exactly where it is on the petrol - I have noticed a sensor at the front of the engine and underneath the air-con compressor that looks like it is lined up with the cog on the flywheel. Is this it?
Could this be coil-pack related - though I don't appaers to have a mis-fire.
Is there anything else that i should be checking?
Welcome some guidance.
