Is anyone out there able to identify this part (see attached).
I have been told it is the waste gate solenoid, the boost control solenoid and the pressure converter solenoid.
It is off my 54 plate fiat eleganza 1.9jtd. The top pipe (red) runs to the turbo actuator, the bottom (black) is the constant vacuum feed.
My car is in constant 'limp' mode. Max 3000rpm. However if I bypass this solenoid i.e. directly connect the red and black pipe together my turbo spins up once again and I can rev away and drive around with a constant turbo whine. However I fear this will not last long!!
I have 10.5v at the feed point to the solenoid so I'm guessing that it may be a mechanical failure of the part and if replaced all would be well in my multipla world????
Any help greatly received.
Many thanks,
John.
