Hi just a word of warning, got a txt from the good lady saying there was a rainbow under our Multi. Got back on the night and had a look underneath, sure enough I could see diesel dripping from the o/s sub frame. I couldn't see where from though. Put it on a ramp the next day at work… steel fuel lines on the o/s bulk head were corroded in the clamp with diesel spewing out. They are plastic all the way from the tank but turn into steel pipes in the engine bay. Then turn into a hose to connect the ufi fuel filter and return pipe off the fuel rail. Just over £150 for the fuel pipes, tank to filters. Car now off the road until 4th Feb. We had just filled up and have a 3/4 tank of fuel. So please check your pipes!!!!! And check your radiator support brackets as my was swiss cheese…
Why do these dam things cost so much to keep on the road!

What a pig of a job!!!! The hardest part was threading the new pipe up to the fuel filter and fuel return… But I didn't do that, the lads at work took over as they could see I didn't have a clue!. With one Tech sat on the engine and the other threading the lines up underneath!!!
Cleaned up a bit of rust in one of the arches. Just need to put the anti roll bar back in as had the bar and brackets powder coated.New poly bushes from Superflex. It aint worth it, just can't afford anything else… We are having a Skoda Yeti next… just haven't decided what year we will buy it!
