Hi all,

Recently bought a 1.9 115BHP Multipla and love it- it does have a running problem which mars the fun somewhat.

Basically it seems to run on 3 cylinders on tickover but it all seems to smooth out over 2000 rpm. I blanked the EGR valve off which seems to have improved things quite a bit but the lumpiness is still there. Worse of all the MIL light is now illuminated! This may be because I accidentally pulled an injector plug off when it was running- I was checking to see if they were loose.

Any ideas on how I can fix these issues? It's a great car apart from this, should have got a Multi ages ago.

Thanks for the reply.

I "reset" the MIL light by leaving the battery disconnected overnight- not sure if that was the right thing to do but it hasn't come back on again. Would I need a code reader to obtain the codes?

Also, the glow plug light flashes for a few seconds after start up. Does a DI engine need glow plugs anyway?
