Pretty much as topic description.

Has anyone done this? I can see the fuses right below and presume there will be a 12v I can connect to?

Thanks :)

You might be able to re-locate the one that's already fitted, unless you need that as well?
Personally, I'd run a dedicated Cable directly from the Battery, with it's own fuse.

What's the reason for wanting one in the Glove-box, just out of curiosity?

At a guess phone charger or the like I have mine predominantly live in my EVO

I've done it. It's fitted in the removeable floor tray of the drivers side compartment, above the fuses. I used a spare 12v socket I had after replacing the ashtray assembly.

The trickiest bit is getting the socket positioned so that its' body misses all the fuse blocks below. If you search through my old posts, there's a photo of it somewhere on the forum. I spliced the wires into the feed to the 12v aux socket on the lower dash.

Edit: just found it. Search for the thread 'speaker size' in the Multipla section. I use it to power my Pure Highway DAB unit, which is plugged into to CD changer input on the standard head unit. It means that I can leave everything plugged in when I leave the car as it's all hidden in the glovebox. Same applies to the sat nav when I use that.

Thanks for replies. I hoped it had been done before.

I have a spare from the ashtray and would like to use to charge phones and/or power a satnav without everything powered on in the car. :)
