Hello..just bought a multipla..it has recently passed its MOT but I just checked the previous tests, should I worry about the following reasons that it failed?

Reason(s) for refusal to issue Certificate
Offside Stop lamp not working (1.2.1b)
Offside Rear Body or chassis has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2)
Offside Front Vehicle structure has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2)
Offside Rear wheel arch Vehicle structure has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2)
Advisory Notice issued
Nearside Inner Front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
Nearside Rear coil spring corroded (2.4.C.1b)
Offside Rear coil spring corroded (2.4.C.1b)
Nearside Rear Suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)
Offside Rear Suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)

It did pass a week or so after this but Im still abit concerned, should I be?

Hi,
this is fairly normal for a 10 year- old 100 K Mile vehicle,

the corrosion may all be in 1 place, that's how MOT report forms work..!!,

how much corrosion did you see when inspecting the car..??

perfect if you've just paid £800 for a vehicle with a years MOT,
NOT so good if you've just paid £2500 for it with 6 weeks MOT..!!,

Charlie

Strange as when I look under my 51 multi it looks surprisingly rust free! Either I'm blind or have a good one...no reports of corrosion on previous MOTs either...
