Problem:- Multipla 1.9JTD, difficulty in engaging just 4th gear. If being hypercritical, 1st and 2nd maybe a bit sticky.

Remedy:- Dunno, thats why I've posted this. Any clues chaps, please.

If it happens intermittently check your clutch slave cylinder. They are known to fail. Difficult or slow gear selection (no crunching though) which is ok a few minutes later is a symptom. If you continue to change gear when this happens you will wear out your clutch. My multi was especially prone to this after a thrashing when I guess the slave cylinder got too hot.
