I've just noticed that my driver's side outer CV boot is split (2001 petrol engine model) - I was thinking about getting a replacement driveshaft (complete with new inner/outer joints) as a permanent repair.

Has anyone tackeld this job before, and are there any difficulties about removing the old shaft/installing the new one? has anyone got any recommendations over suppliers of reputable driveshafts?
