Gents,
Had a friendly PM from Rytis @ manodalys thanking me for promoting his website/fantasic customer service.
Anyway he said that due to the increased demand he will be stocking more Multipla stuff.
Just letting you guys know that he appreciates the business.
He also very kindly offered me a small discount on my next order(as i suppose i was the first to take the leap of faith and order from him)...I thankfully dont need anything at the moment though!!

Marty.

A quick update: we now have stock of rear subframe bushes (adaptable from Tipo/Tempra). Orders are welcome! :)

Original Birth SKUs 5772 and 5702; Malo SKUs 15060 and 15061.

Rytiss - can you post here prices for the various Multipla JTD engine and gearbox bushes? I think the Fiat part numbers are as follows:

Lower/front, cambelt end of engine block - 46834369
Top/rear, tie rod - 46742098
Top/rear, bracket to bulkhead - 46840714 (the tie rod fits onto this)
Bottom/rear, gearbox end of engine block - 46407326
Bottom/front of gearbox - 46833915 (this superceded 46519775, which I think is the one that many people on the forum have had problems with).

I'm assuming you do not want OE parts, so I'm posting alternatives here, where available. If you actually wanted OE, please let me know.

46834369 - OEM only - 199.45EUR/169.61GBP - special order only, ETA 1 week.
46742098 - Original Birth 50565 - 18.83EUR/16.01GBP - in stock.
46840714 - Impergom (Original Imperium) 26337 - 22.30EUR/18.96GBP - special order only, ETA 1 week.
46407326 - Original Birth 5743 - 29.54EUR/25.12GBP - in stock.
46833915 - Original Birth 5880 - 32.44EUR/27.58GBP - in stock. I am however not sure if it was based on the original or replaced part.

Shipping generally is 7.60EUR/6.50GBP for a package up to 2kg.

Just used Manodalys again, for a couple of Strut Tops, excellent service once again.
Really can't praise Rytis enough, makes owning a Multi much more bearable!

Give him a go if you haven't already.
Contact him directly for the quickest results, website isn't that easy to decipher.

Hey Bikedoc...
Havent had cause to be on here in a while!

Thinking of doing my top strut mounts...they are rattling like hell.

Are they easy change??

Im thinking you undo the 2 pinch bolts that attach them to the hub and then the 3 bolts under the bonnet and the strut should just come down?

Marty.

I'm not BD, but yes - easy enough. Check the condition of the two pinch bolts for the bottom of the strut as they stretch. You'll need a spring compressor to get the top mount off, once the strut is off the car. It's also worth replacing the turntable bearing that's under the top mount while you've got it all apart.

Damn..thought all that would require replacing would be above strut if you know what I mean, hadn't planned on compressing springs... I'll look on Eper for exploded diagrams might make more sense then. Cheers marty.

The centre nut/thread that you can see in the middle of the strut top when you open the bonnet holds the whole lot together - top mount, turntable bearing, rubber seat for the top of the spring et al. The spring on the Multipla takes a lot of compressing to take the load off of the strut tops enough to dismantle them. I'd either get a local garage to do it or invest in one of the single-arm type compressors as the simple DIY claw type don't feel safe to me. I've posted some pics on here from when I did mine. Will try to find the thread.

Unless you're a masochist, skip the bit about putting sleeving on the springs - there's some photos at the end of the post that give a reasonable idea of how the struts build up:

Note the comments about positioning of the compressor on the spring when you're putting things back together. Because you need to squash the spring to near-coil bound, it's very easy to end up with the compressor trapped between the spring pans and the coil when you wind the load off, unless you get it in just the right place.

The single arm spring compressor I show in the photos is one of the best car tools I've bought.
