If I do try the scan it scans comes up completed try to connect it says this and all the faults were on the green plug. Have been reading that the free version throws up some fake faults on the free version is this true. Think I may have figured one fault out front left wheel bearing was changed and abs sensor needs changing due to being broken abs light on in car dash

The ECU is a magnetti marelli IAW 49F from memory. Its something like that. Its actually down as a 2000

I couldnt get it to connect to my dads ECU. It connects to the ABS and Airbag without issue (no faults found). Ive not really had a good look at it yet. I didnt alter any of the settings for latency/timing. Ive since downloaded the user guide from multiecuscan site so ill have another go at it when i get a free minute. Ive also got a elm327 to try on it aswell.

I see no reason why the free version would throw false errors. It didnt on the ABS/airbag system when i scanned my dads. This would be bad for the software developers and would make you buy another software if theirs was full of bugs. I think it can be trusted

It was on a Alfa website it threw up the faults with the free version of multis can once he updated and paid all them false codes went I can't understand it either lets no how u get on but it still dont answer my question what do these all mean in codes or how ever u wanna put it whats broken on my car

If you can list the fault codes in a list with the P,C,B or U number and the description then ill have a look in my book of tricks and see if I can get you some info.

If the weather holds off ill plug it back in later never had any p codes was like 049 unless its p1049 is this how they put the codes together

Usually any ABS codes are C codes and airbag are B and engine are P

HiYa Pete,

There's a constant danger of mis-diagnosing from a code and spending £££'s on it only to find it wasn't the 'this sensor that sensor'. Fortunately the BUG is not canBUS controlled so the above will give a good instant guide to the PBC codes you get out.

Ow ok I'm getting it now ill list the codes and one of u can put them in to numbers
