R these any good for the 1.6 multi or is it not worth wasting my money

Only a cheap halfords ripspeed just wanna give the car a bit more go

I'm gonna do a bit of trial and error and try to put it in can I remove the old air box and just zip tie this one down to hold it still while its under the bonnet or does it have to go down in the arch for max proformance and I've also gotta keep airflow sensor connected so could be fun will watch video iPhone won't allow

Yeah sounds good can u try and show where it's fitted on ur multipla

You will hear much more intake noise and it all depends on your definition of it sounding better. At the end of the day it's your choice and if it's something you fancy doing then go for it.

As I said it trial and error the engines due a change in next 5000 miles so I'm trying to blow it up it might help lol 126000 miles on a petrol and emissions ave had it so its that time

Go for it then.. Tuning and customisation is a personal thing and one man's muck is another man's brass so to speak..
Maybe you could get a few photos of the install and maybe a video on youtube showing how you did it, be interesting to look at..

I've used u tube for years but would not no how to post on it so I will post some pics

But why? Performance will be lost due to heat soak.
You already have a CAI just under the bonet (well, its there on a derv).

Lets put it like this... I took my K&N cone and CAI off my Celica in favor of a K&N panel within the original air box.

No heat soak and 90% reduced risk of sucking in water. No one needs hydro lock....

I've run it in to the front wheel arch it's not got wet yet it sounds smart and throttle response is out of this world

This my k&n on my muli 1.6 will post more later sorry took so long was working down south
