Something to share if you have not already seen.

I subscribe to Planet F1, and in a photo with Alonso and Massa is this Fiat, called the Freemont, see link below from Fiat Italy.

I know that it does not have 3 seats in a row, but is it a worthy replacement to a Multipla?

Do a bit of digging in Italian press, its seems that Fiat Auto own a very large chunk of the American brand of Dodge & Chrysler ( General Motors ), as the car in the link is the same as a Dodge Journey, all with Fiat running gear. Engines and Gearboxes.

I also note that the Dodge Journey is available RHD in the UK till 2010, but from 2010 to present its the Chrysler Journey.

Just looks like a ordinary car the multipla is its own because its ugly but fun to drive I wouldn't buy one but that's me and every one has different tastes

Its was as FiatFleetFamily says a crossover SUV built by the Dodge division of Chrysler. Chrysler stopped selling it in Europe in 2011 and in 2011 Chrysler rebadged it as a Fiat Freemont, which is a replacement for the Ulysse/Croma. Comparison pic here.

- I don't think anything but a bug will ever replace a bug !

Agree.

A Chunk of Chysler is owned by the Fiat Group, hence the Freemont.

It gets more interesting after quiz night last night in the boozer with a guy who works for Vauxhall who told me :.

Chevrolet are owned by GM, GM is 45% owned by the Fiat Group. If Fiat sell there stake in GM, then GM go under.

Fiat diesels 1.3, 1.9, 2.0 & 2.2 are all fitted in the Vaux Corsa, Astra, Zafira, Insignia and the Van range, as they are also fitted in the Chevrolet Orlando and Cruze & Captiva, badged as CDTi instead of Multijet. Only the Vaux 1.7 Diesel is non Fiat.

Also Fiat Auto Group had there diesel engines in the now defunct Saab 9-3 and 9-5 and in all diesel Alfa's.

If the Fiat never produce an alternative Multipla or anything near it in the space department, then I would buy an alternative with a fiat diesel and running gear, Orlando or Captiva look ok'ish.
