General Multipla headlight unit

Hi all
I am new to the site having just purchased a 54 plate multipla in August. I am in need of a drivers side headlight unit and having problems. Don't want to pay Fiat prices and having no luck with breakers. Can anyone tell me if the 55 headlight idthe same?

Is your headlight nearly round or more of a flattened rectangle? A 54 plate car is on the change form the original shape to the facelift. They have different headlights.

We had a problem with the indicator light staying solid and unable to turn it off -it drained the battery a couple of times. When we did get it to turn off the bulb had blown but also melted away the fitting so no way of fixing new bulb in.

It is a rectangular type unit with headlight and orange indicator panel combined -the 55 model looks the same to me but I am new to all this and not technically minded at all - any help very much appreciated.

55 plate lamp will be fine then..
Anything 54 plate and earlier is from an ugly bug multi..
