Okay 'Pla experts (I thought I was one until recently).

Here we go - just to preface this, I've got two 03 JTDs, had tow others in the past so I am totally Multipla'd up.

So... turbo has blown on car 1, 115hp Garret. Bought turbo used online, came in lovely condition, very happy. Except it's from a 2001 105, so it has a straight outlet etc, different oil pickup points and so on. Bummer as it was a good price. It looks like it was itself a replacement part as the manifold and ancillaries are old and crusty but it's nice and shiny, no play. Extra bummer.

Has anybody, and I know this is an extreme longshot, but has anyone ever fitted a 105 turbo to a 115. Possible a terrifically stupid idea, don't know if it's technically possible, just frustrated as there's a £200 price difference.

Alternately, anyone out there needing a very nice turbo and manifold for a JTD 105?

Ahem, thanks

Re: Multipla Turbo Monster expert question. Reply to my own question

My horrified long suffering mechanic pal who wrks on my Multiplas just pointed our the extreme stupidity of what I've written as it would require a different Catalytic converter and a zillion other bits. Interested in anyones comments anyway, but looks like a dead end. Back to eBay unless anyone has one on here.

Thanks folks!
