Hi all

my multipla 1.9 jtd elx Y reg 2001 110,000 miles, has finally given up the fight.
I think the turbo has blown, white smoke coming out the exhaust and oil dripping from the cat and gearbox area.
Its just to exspensive for me to repair, looking at £500 just to investigate the problems.
So gonna get rid but how do I do it, sell on ebay, break and sell myself etc.
Does any one have any experience of this and how did it go.

Break it yourself and you'll make a bit of money, although the cash will come in slowly in bits and pieces. Meanwhile you'll have to house a gradually disintegrating pile of scrap and eventually getting shot of the immobile carcase might be a problem!

On the other hand a proper breaker will arrive with his wagon, give you somewhere between £60 and £100 for it and you've no problems other than replacing the thing.

I wouldn't want the headache.

You'll get more cash if you drive it to a yard rather than have it collected from your house.

As has been said breaking will make you more money, you might take years to sell off all the parts.

I need a drivers side rear lamp btw if you break.
