hi ya guys just bought a multipla 1.9 jtd 110 2001 for 400 note with a snaped cambelt also a new head and gaskets for 279 come to take the head off and it feels like there somethink holding it on at the back done the normal stuff ie manifold water pump inlet can anyone think of what i could be missing would really like to hear ur views thanks karl

If all the exterior things are clear, and all the bolts are out, only thing I can think of is the guides (not dib, dib, dib) - you sometimes get a few guides - simple, small tubes - tapped into the head, leaving 1/2" protruding to help place the gasket & replace the head. These are designed to be a snug fit so if the head hasn't been off before, they may think they are now an integral part!
As my Northern Ancestors are so fond of saying, "if in doubt, give it a clout", I prefer to call it "a little persuasion" with a decent rubber mallet (or lump hammer & block of wood)

there is a 13mm bolt at the back of the head, can't remember what it holds on but it's a real pig to get to and you can't see it. I had same problem when i did one. Just persevere to find it.
