IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN HELP !!!!!!!!!

(n) i own a garage in lincolnshire and this customer has 2 fiat multiplas , one petrol 1.6 on a W and one turbo diesel on a V and this is whats happening !

petrol one : the customer baught the car 6 months ago and over the time it started running rough / cutting out and was gutless when it was hot  but allow it to cool down and it would start up again but if you didnt let it cool it would turn over but would pop through the exhaust and nearly start !!! :bang:
we heard the cambelt tensioner making a noise when it was running and warmer it got louder the noise went so we looked into it and the belt was slack so we fitted a new cambelt kit but upon doing this we found that the belt had jumped a few teeth and when we put the new kit on the car FLEW !!(y) and didnt have a problem for over 60 miles ( normally would cut out before then ) but now 2 weeks later it has started cutting out again but this time it doesnt pop through the exhaust ! we have scaned the ECU and found one code P0170 and it says it could be a list of things we have checked a few out but we are loosing the will to live !!!:cry:

Diesel : the customer baought this as a NON RUNNER and we found that the fuel pump on the engine had lost its earth so we put an earth to it and low and behold IT STARTED !!!:slayer: BUT there was no turbo coming in and seamed to be in LIMP HOME MODE we thought the turbo pipe or turbo was at fault but if you hold the trottle down when you start it up the car will rev to 10,000 revs but soon as you take ya foot off it goes back to limp mode AND while he was driving it cuts out and wont start ! :( and when it wont start the key light is lit up but we left the car in our yard for 3 weeks going to it most days to try and start it and it wont have non of it but one day we went to it and it STARTED UP NO TROUBLE ! could it be a broken wire or ECU ?
its doing our heads in !! :nutter:

I NEED HELP !!!!!:life:

for the petrol one, mine had the same issue with exactly the same symptoms a while ago and all it took was new leads and plugs. i guess you have already checked these but thats what fixed mine :)

We've got a Y reg 1.6 petrol and we would come to it sometimes in the morning and it would be dead, but ok a few hours later (by the time the AA came out !!).

We got a specialist Auto Elctrician to look at it and he found it straight away. Turned out to be a faulty sensor on the crank shaft. Not saying this is the problem with yours, but it might be something to look at.
