I have just purchased a Multipla 105JTD W reg, and am gradually working through all the faults to fix (front wishbones, ARB bushes and links, Rear wheel bearings, buckled wheel, missing spare wheel and broken bracket, handbrake not holding), which are just the usual problems, I can do these as I had to fix most of them on the last one I had.

What I am not sure about is the engine sump. I had an oil leak which after steam cleaning the bottom of the engine I have traced to the sump leaking at the front edge next to the gearbox. I have ordered the sealant for the job.... but do I have to remove the gearbox to take the sump off?

Has anyone done this job before, and could you give me a few pointers please (I have to fix it as the missus is going mad about all the small oil stains appearing on the drive).

thought I would bump this post.......I am going to do the sump fairly soon but don't really want to go into it blind!!!!
