Hello,
We recently bought a 2002 Multipla and are wondering whether we can use the front middle seat for a baby car-seat.
Does anybody know whether this is possible? Is the front middle seat served by the driver or passenger airbag (or neither)?
Thanks,
Co & Kaa

from what i remember the passenger airbag is a centre one too.

driver's one is just for the driver.

so if you turn the switch under the driver's glovebox to off, should be safe to use kiddy seat in centre front.

might be best to check with Fiat UK though, just to get the official word?

Hi!
Many thanks for your useful replies.
We will double check with Fiat UK; we still got some time before the "issue" becomes urgent! :)
Cheers,

We have had both a rear facing and a front facing child seat in the middle. As said previously you must switch off the passenger airbag. A light will appear on the dash to confirm that it is disabled.

Yup we have two 'plas, from centre seat for little ones is just awesome, turn the airbag off in the front drivers side glove box on the dash. Just bear in mind the front left passenger then is unprotected. just FYI as the little one gets bigger, centre position in the back with front centre folded down makes for happy child!
