The handbook I got with my Y reg Multipla tells me nothing about the trip computer - all it talks about is the speedo layout. I find it very fiddly to operate - where can I find answers to these niggly problems...?

 How do I get it to operate Trip B? I know it's there but it won't let me.

 How do reset service intervals?

 Can I get it to tell me miles per litre instead of miles per US Gallon? (Yes, that's why your mpg reading is always wrong!)

 What is Range all about? When the empty tank light came on last night the Range reading said I still had another 100 odd miles left. Is this a moneyspinner so Fiat can scam you for a new catalytic converter when all the gunk in the tank gets drawn through?

Otherwise it's great - I think the ice warning is a good idea, and it's handy when a door isn't quite properly shut. I also like being able to see how long I've actually been driving for, excluding stops.

Hi!

Out of interest, who makes the system in the Multipla - it is Magnet Marrelli for the Ulysse, and Visteon for the Stilo. There may be some common ground here :)

Our handbook (2003 model) says you press the trip button either quickly for trip A, or hold it in for longer for trip B. BUT - there are other sub menus it takes you to (rather in the manner of a mobile phone) when you go through the options.

The range will vary according to what it thinks your consumption is, I think. On past cars they used to flash approx 2 gallons out from empty.

Hope this helps...

Thanks; I've not figured out various things, including changing from miles to km, consumption in litre per 100km, Trip B (handy for measuring shorter trips within longer measurements), but I still haven't figured out resetting the service interval (which is still stubbornly at 0) or if there's a way to go from miles per US gallon to miles per litre or Imperial gallon. :)

Look at the multipla owners site for info on resetting service meter and other good stuff!!
