Hi Guys. Picked a 2001 Multipla last week 110 jtd.great and quirky! absolutely no power and sounded almost like the big ends were about to give way but only trying to rev it around 2000rpm. otherwise a very quiet engine (only done 70k). changed the maf sensor (no idea how long it was driven with duff sensor) now a lot more power, but not revving fully, it seems to hesitate then surge a little on an even throttle almost feels like you're on a boat. tried to give it some welly, now the engine warning light has come on but it still drives.
can the light be extinguished by disconnecting battery?
thinking of getting OBD2 cable as I have PMscan program.
Any thoughts? EGR valve, Temp sender.

Best thing (quickest) is to read the codes.
