Hello everyone,

Driving about town I get a weird symbol appear on the dash, see pic. When this appears I have intermittent power loss. I am useless (I mean proper useless) at DIY so I have to rely on local garages for fixes.

What is happening to my Multipla? I have a pregnant wife so need a reliable motor, just in case.

Please help!

Thanks in advance all.

- try the fuel cleaner additive first, it's a cheap self fix if it works !

As stated by others, an injector icon .. .. .. but often times nowt to do with your injectors.

It's a generic symbol for lots of different faults. I've had it on a 2000 105 and a 2002 115 and in both cases the power loss was not related to injectors.

I found the only realistic way to diagnose is to clear the fault codes / wait for it to happen again / read the new fault code / start from there.

I was lucky - I borrowed a SnapOn diagnostic unit.

NOTE - on early 105's the icon is not even listed in the manual / ePER etc. So no information on the icon pointing to the fault exists in the early 105's, or maybe on any 105's ?

Thanks all, I bought some WYNNs injector cleaner. Weirdly, its ok if I let her idle for 5 mins and then put the aircon on.

Hopefully the injector cleaner will do the job. If not as Arnie said, I'll be back!

Thanks again!:worship:

I just had this fix on my Multipla (186) 1.6 petrol 186k km, last week. Same symptoms injection light turns on, loss of power after 2 or 3 minutes of driving it is okay again!

I had a read out in the garage and they concluded that it was the sparkwires and ballast (is that the right word). Basically the black top where the spark wires connect to (bobine in Dutch). The bill was just under 200 euro. I have seen wire sets on ebay for less.

The pla hasn´t done it afterwards, but it is just a week.

Just read you have JTD, so spark plugs are out. Sorry.

Good luck
