They're only supplied as a complete part because the black plastic pipe is heat shrunk on to the connector or metal pipe. You can see in one of your previous pictures where the plastic pipe has been torn off by your 'friend'.

I suppose they could supply the two pipes seperately though instead of having to buy both of them together.

Absolutely Davren. Those two pipes aren't connected so there's no reason why they couldn't be sold seperately.

It feels like a complete rip off from Fiat this.

This happened to me last Wednesday, I broke the other plastic connection to the fuel filter though. It goes to to engine. The fiat dealer asked me if the engine had been changed as well. Why don't fiat know their own cars? If I could even get the plastic piece hosetech said they could put a hose on it for me. Or maybe someone could tell me if the same setup is on another fiat diesal as diesal multiplas are not very common in Ireland. Car is stuck in my garage and wife is not happy, any help would be greatly appreciated

I've just snapped the other pipe in the picture.. cost me £28+ vat… It's really easy to snap the elbows if you move them about. Yes the picture is wrong on the fishe? How do you spell that? The next problem is getting lid on tight enough for it not to leak fluid/fuel. I had to wait 4 days for the part to come from Italy. If you are struggling to get it on tight the a local Vauxhall or Fiat dealer will have the correct tool. ( I work in a Vauxhall dealer)

The part number for the above pipe is 51761973 £28.42 plus vat… I know this as this is the pipe I broke a couple of weeks ago!!! All the way from central warehouse in Italy. There was one on Italian ebay aswell just about the same price….

Thanks for the reply, I've ordered the part from fiat. €39 just hope it's the right one. Should be here Wednesday. A local mechanic got the car going for the weekend by fitting a straight hose bypassing the filter altogether. At least it'll get the kids to school.

Sorry for bumping a pretty old thread, but I had this exact problem just now and wanted to post my solution.

I broke the top fuel filter hose quick connector, or rather a previous owner broke it and fixed it with repair putty and I disturbed it when changing an engine mount.

I found these connectors which are a perfect fit for the fuel filter connector, got a length of standard fuel hose and cut off the old pipe at the end of the solid pipe on the inner wing, all fixed for about £14 all in.

I can't post links but you can search for connect consumables 37203
for the connector I used for the top (inlet) pipe.

The outlet hose to the pump is larger (10mm I think but measure your own before buying anything!) I think the connector for that is 37204.

No association with the company, I'm not spamming just sharing a fix that worked for me.
