have posted about this a couple of days ago when starts idle sits at 2000rpm but stop the car go in and buy your paper come and start engine again it sits just above 500rpm also sometimes when sitting in traffic it starts to idle at 1000rpm any clues its a 1.6 petrol 2002 any advice would be fantastic many thanks:worship:

Idle control valve if it has one not sure about the fiat 1.6 but if it does which iam assuming it will just remove it clean it out with carb cleaner spray then oil/wd40 it then put it back.
It could be a number of things though like an air leak on the intake, grab the intake pipe while the engine is running and manouver it around see if the revs are affected.

There is an engine idle self-adjustment motor on the throttle body

#1 couple of bolts
#2 is an electrical connector
#3 is the idle control

Try to clean the electrical connections
