Should I have to change my front tyres at least 3 times a year? Having done at least 3000 miles since changing the tyres, the inside edge of both fronts is cleary going bald. The dealer is doing his best checking the tracking, putting on new tyres...etc, but it's soon out of waranty and I'll soon be stuffed.
I read no other complaints like this, but all Multiplas I check in local car parks have bald inside edges on both front tyres.
Go out and check yours and let me know. :)
Thanks.

Don't have a Multipla but that must be a tracking problem. I believe that the Stilo has similar problems. Check the Stilo sections and I think you'll find a long running thread on tyre wear. May give you some help.

Clearly a big problem with the Stilo. Interesting that my Multipla uses the same running gear. Lots of ammo to take to the dealer.

Thanks for the help. :)

Check out the multi forum off the main website...

VERY well documented.
Multis have a problem with the Fiat recommended tow in and you should have it checked and set to zero degress. IE wheels parallel to each other. This doesnt have to much of a problem affecting the handling but it does improve the problem of tyre wear.
Done it my self with no problems as yet after 3000 miles!

Yes Julian, I`m at present fighting Fiat with just the same prob. Me? 3 sets front tyres in 24,000! I have got a case file started with fait Customer Services, got VOSA, MMTA involved . Will post treads when I have news, oh by the way this wear has nothing to do with toe in -toe out, the CAMBER angle is the villan of the peace. Anon Roger

Yep. New sets on the front every 7500 miles. Taken to buying cheapies now. Local independent garage reset tracking, though I don't know what to and has improved it. After fitting three sets of tyres previously and supposedly having the tracking done at the same time each time, the garage said that the tracking adjuster thingies were seized solid and had never been moved! They had a devil of a job freeing them up. Have done about 5000 on this set and still seems to be plenty in them at the moment. However, haven't looked for a coupleof weeks.....
