Does anyone know the wiring colours for the rear light cluster as I'm fitting a towbar and don't want to have to multimeter the whole set of the loom.

I'd multimeter/test light them anyway,not unknown for Fiat to chuck in any old wiring when a certain colour runs short at the factory.

Never assume with electrics always test,how long is it going to take you,5 minutes?

How easy is this job? Is it a case of getting under the car with those clippy things that piggy back onto the existing wires? Where does the socket get mounted?

Socket normally mounted on the bar behind the tow ball.Dont forget its legislation to have audible (or visual) warning for the indicators.
Its honestly not expensive to have a local company do it for you & if anything goes wrong you can blame them
