What ever is easy it for everyone
Haynes is in Sparkford, Somerset, East of Yeovil.
Minehead is on the west coast, quite a trek from Sparkford, so including both would be a challenge.
The railway from Minehead goes almost into Taunton, (not allowed to link with mainline, mostly politics), so could be picked up there, to use the train to Minehead, but still probably needs an overnight somewhere.
Quite a challenge to set that one up.
Haynes is an easy day trip, minehead makes it a weekend
To far my more local
MK is good for me, can drop Partner off at her stepdaughter's, make a good trip of it. Apart form the concrete cows, what else is there to see?
a row of FIAT's on the A5 - near a Cafe..
and the drivers sitting in said cafe stuffing their faces with sausages, super ones in fact.
anything to see in MK - Bob..??
anything to see in MK - Bob..??
What day should we do it for then
There will be another Vintage Stony meeting happening in the summer, entry is free for visitors so could be worth a visit and its only about 5 minuites from the super sausage.
we did a "Landrover Experience" just the SS side of MK a few years ago..,
bit not really a FIAT venue :shakehead:
would be nice to find a place with cafe/ grounds, spacious carparks,
( other than that old airfield down the A43)
any idea if the Towcester ( horse) track has any "facilities" open on non-event Sundays..?? mr and mrs tjet
