needless to say i didnt die :D
bloody hurt tho
btw the other car was a volvo with an uninsured driver and nearly 2 years down the line im still waiting for money!

to tell the truth i didnt have my harness on (bad me i know)
and the seats were soo low down that they stopped me going thru the windscreen, so yes they were good in that fashion but what a waste of £500 lol to see em bend and manked like that, i wouldnt have them again cause they were too much hard work for what they were worth tbh

No doubt the ICE was secure enough, what Bow struggles to realise is gravity and forces, ICE travelling at 50mph say and suddenly the cars is doing 0mph, ICE still wants to go forward so something has to give really!

i didnt say it wasnt secured, i just said that people have posted it on a few forums saying this is what will happen to your ice in a crash if its not secure.

I remember having a Parcel shelf on my old Astra Gsi, it was thick proper hardwood, placed where the old one was. Had I crashed at 50mph or more, I reckon it would have just took my head off, rather neatly :p I take more care now.

love the mk1 clio's. had 2 so far but would buy another R reg one or if ih ad time and money get a phase 2 williams

That sums it up for me!

Shows cars from 10/11 years ago (cant believe 96/97 was that long ago!) how far behind they are in terms of safety such as airbags etc. I know its taken a hit at a fair speed but todays ergonmics wouldnt crumple up in that way, its pics like that that make me think how good progression on that side of motoring is :)

But to stick with the thread that is a nice clio, in a lovely colour and subtly modded. Not OTT like the majority

but to be fair it fell apart in an impact as it should

the engine dropped and everything squished around the car as apposed to in the car, i walked out of it, infact i had to climb out because the drivers door wouldnt open, onyl damage to me was winded, cut arm knee and lip lol

to say it was a 10 year old bean can she stood up to a right biffing lol

agreed it was nice, hope they got what they deserved mate.i know how it feels.

o and guess what the woman got for driving without due care and attention, dangerous driving and driving with no insurance.

9 points and a £110 fine with £40 court costs, i love the law, it was probably cheaper for her to buy that car and get busted for it than to pay her years insurance :S
