i agree Wimmy....if your car is to be mistaken for an emergency vehicle....the people who mistake it dont deserve a driving licence....."all the rage...dark coloured emergency vehicles"

VERY nice car you have there. Good idea with the wipers 4 the sunstrip..didnt think of that, took my sunstrip off 4 MOT and had 2 get a new one.

Mk1 Punto 1.2 60sx metallic green.......my beast!!

I know i seem to need to chill James but this is a serious thing. And no, I do deserve a driving licence, because in my hea and 99% of other drivers, blue means emergency vehicle which means danger and hence driving style has to change. In the far distance and up and down bumps/rain etc. they will appear to flash.

I am not saying it would be a problem at dusk on a town road but driving down a wet country road at 12pm at night, you could easily be mistaken for a police car/ambulance/fire engine. James, it isn't his choice, it's the law unfortunately and he has no choice really unless he wants to break the law which I am not supposing your are condoning?

Washer LEDs: no, but they aren't intended to provide more than a tiny amount of light outwards and are too small to be seen, especially when just above the headlight. Yours are significantly below the position of the head lights and hence may possibly be more visible. Anyway, I don't think they are right anyway!

Please stef_punto, in the dark, how do you know whether a car is white, black, yellow of green, especially in an unlit area? Also, there is a tendency for unmarked police cars and traffic cars to move away from white to silver or other colours.

It's just causing an unnecessary danger IMO.

If you do keep them and love them I can't stop you but you have put a picture up for everybody to see with your number plate and illegal lights & explaining you have and will use them. Maybe you should reconsider the picture?

I don't want to be rude and feel horrible for being so serious about it but IMO it is a serious thing - it's nothing personal. I understand you have the right to do whatever you want to your car but if you intend to drive it on the road you should keep within the law. Is it really worth it to be done for impersonating a cop car?

Paul

Paul, I didn't mean its his choice to have them, I meant its his decision to go with them and take the risk of being caught.

Personally, If I were you wimmy, I'd change back to undercar neons and keep them for shows/cruises where your not going to be deemed a 'menace'. I personally think the undercar looks much better.;)

Which is probably what I agree with, im not in anyway suggesting people can't do whatever they want in terms of shows etc. despite what I think of it; it's their choice!

However, this would be a menace, in your words too ;)

lol, i'm sorry that all I ever do is moan, groan and mardy about everything. The only people I ever stick up for are usually the minority: asylum seekers, elderly, the police etc. who don't exactly come on here much lol.

DOn't even get me started on the subject of smoking;) - save that for another day!

I do have a point though don't I? Please somebody stick up for me, I am going to give up soon!

My opinion, for what it matters, is that the car looks ace and the LED's add that bit extra "cool"

As far as i'm concerned you shouldn't have to change your driving style if you see an emergency vehicle in your rear view cos you should be driving cautiously anyway:pTo pass a driving test you should know more about what's going on behind you as much as in front, therfore you'd know a mile before Wimmy comes up your arse that it was a Bravo and not a Ambulance/Copper/Fire Truck(?)!!

I agree with Surfin_fella's point about being aware of vehicles behind you on the road.

Lets face it just from those lights in your mirror you can pretty much guess what car it is anyway.:D

I wouldn't go for LEDs myself, or even undercar neons just cause they are a bit too rude boyish for my taste. :p

But when I seen your car at the Notts meet Wimmy I did think that it was one sweet car!!

You'll probably make yourself sick counting, but how much have you spent modifing it?? Just being nosey [8D]

TY!

Not ACTUALLY spent that much to modify it as I am always on the hunt for a bargain and do things on the cheap. I've probably spent just over 2k on modifying which isnt bad considering I have had 3 different ice installs!!
