Introduction

OK guys got a chance to clean the car properly today and Thought it was about time I did a proper thread here.
So heres my Marea
2.0 20v 155 VIS engine
HLX spec

Now as some of you know I and a couple other members will be going on the Modified Gumball in the summer. So I'm looking for all comments good or bad.
Although if your going to be negative please give reasons! :D

Engine bay so far I think this is complete anymore may start to spoil it

I cant get a bumper for the rear of the car so am thinking about colour coding the bottom of the standard one?

I'm gonna need to refurb my wheels aswell thinking about a colour change but haven't got a clue about what to change them too.
Any ideas?

I have also Been thinking about sideskirts aswell and front exstention or maybe just colour code black bits the length of the car along the bottom.

I'm hoping to do Combe again next year along with Brooklands and Stanford hall.
Would like to do a couple more aswell but will have to see how the finances are then.

Ryan we might even have matching grilles by then. Gonna have another crack at doing it properly. :cool:
 
the photo's just don't do the car justice, its absolutley stunning in the flesh!!, i couldnt believe it when i saw it at perth, i almost had an irational urge to go and buy myself a marea!, really gorgeous car, never new a marea could look anywhere near this good :D(y)

I'll be honest in that I did expect alot of nice things to be said. But Some of the comments have been far better than I expected.
It's got me thinking about all sorts of little jobs I can do on it now to make it even better. :cool:
 
Beast , the motor looks mint mate, love the colour,exhaust,it sounds top-spot in the vid , i would'nt the sideskirts personally, marea's are under rated by almost everyone by the drivers and except those we've left in our rear view mirrors!!! ;)

You know i never really spent much time looking at a Marea, just looking at it side on, theres something almost scooby-esque about it, shape of the rear door or the roof dunno but its reminding me of a scooby. Hope thats of no insult, its not ment to be ;)

How often are the rear doors used? was gonna suggest having them shaved but depends if they used daily or not i guess. Hard to give anything constructive as you seem to have most bases covered. I've tried hard and all i can think of is re-locating the aerial to the rear of the roof instead of the front, would give it a more modern look IMO.
