No offense to anyone that has it, but aftermarket bodykits and sticking out lights, in my oppinon, are quite possibly the worst thing you could do to your car.
On a Mk1 punto, the only thing I'd do is put a (very well considered) set of subtle alloy wheels on, 15's, lower it so that it's just right..no arches that look like they're scraping etc. Deffinatly wouldnt put angel eyes on, as it makes the car just look odd. If the car was black, possibly tint the rear lights slightly. A shiney stainless steel exhaust pipe to the same diameter as the original fiat rustbox or a tad bigger.
Spoilers on Mk1's = horrible imo. Destroys the nice curved backside of the car.
Aftermarket "third party" body kits should be made illegal.
There are too many people wrecking perfectly nice looking cars by bolting on "extras" taken from the set of
The Fast and the Furious that look shockingly stupid (lexus lights that stick out turn my stomach) and then selling their car for twice the price that it's worth just because it's had "thousands spent on it", makes me sick.:yuck:
Teams of automotive designers spend years creating and designing how the car will look, 3D computer models etc, painstaking hours, and then along comes Billy with a ripspeed catalog, orders a body kit and slaps it on the car thinking it'll look better
For example, here is a MK1 Ford Focus ST170 going on autotrader, sellers description calls it "eyecatching":
