i remember seeing 1 that size on a maroon gt a while ago, but it was at an angle pointing out towards the passengers rear corner,

thats usually a chrome tail pipe stuck onto the curved pipe of the exhaust. if you only have a tiny bit sticking out it looks good like that.

i think an exhaust can look good on a punto with a standard rear bumper, howvere i think it needs to flow with the shape, anything too round or narrow looks like pea shooter, i like jug's exhaust, similar design rear apron but the twin exhaust placed in the right place really adds to the looks. i ahve similar set up but with an oval tip, not hanging too low and not too high, looks nicely tucked in.

care to visualise your point?

they can look OK with a small one point out toward passenger side like mase has spotted, but even then, mmmm errrr.
its a nippy car, but its still not a quick car (std GT is bordering on quick, highly tuned GT is in the quick bracket, but still not fast:D )*

*I did some massive long defination of what nippy, pokey, quick, fast, oohh err, outragious. reffered to, ages ago mind.

in this world of modified cars performance parts can be more of an aesthetic thing than anything else or the aesthetics outweigh the performance gained, which i would say relates to most light tuning like induction kit and exhaust. both look better than the actual difference it makes to the car. not saying this true when you consider some big engined cars that really benefit from these mods... i'm sure you know what i mean.....

I know. I'm after the super factory look (as I call it), i.e my car has all the options fitted to it and looks as clean and flawless as poss.
cinquepunto has the same look, but he has a met red one instead, and a few more £££'s than me. Although I'm pretty sure I've got one thing over on him, I have a boot light:nerner: , and so does beau:cool:

I also don't mind the sort of half way there look like beaus (sporting already has the goodies), but TBH I'd rather be after something that either looks absolutly spot on, or leaves other fwd cars for dead, no half way houses

well im sure everyone now knows i dont like the exhaust! :p i like it! but less sticking out and when the abarth kits done, where it should be on there :)

i want to abarth it, lower it, tint it, thats about it, but the abarth will probably all be smoothed in, not just stuck on as i dont like it like that! and bump strips gone!

and yes the sporting has got some nice goodies, abs, electric sunroof :D among loads of other stuff :p but because i had the gt before, i miss... soooo much the one touch drivers window, il deffo some how be getting one touch on both the fronts, they were class

i really duno wether to smooth the abarth in or not though, i do cos it looks stuck on but then i dont cos it looks fake and not original :( lol!

either way I'd check with insurance and get a quote reference number and see how long the quote lasts for.

else when the time comes they may just say feck off :p
I know its a more sensible car, but if there are more than just a few basic mods they will fob you off. with a higher car you *may* be able to get insurance, albeit at stupid money.

I take it you are gonna fit the abarth kit to another set of bumpers, then do what you will. try and get it colour match (would not be easy IMO) at a good paint shop?)
then if it all goes pair shaped on t'insurance, just whack the OE bumpers back on (as theywill still be std and servicable?).
thats what I would do(y)

yes im going to fit to other bumpers, mainly cos there cracked already, car would be without bumpers and when i sell id fit the standard bumpers back on :)

follow your brake pipes. do they go into a metal billet box with bosch (probably) written on a stamp on top, it has 2 or 3 weird Torx looking cylinders on one face of it, then the brake pipes split off to each wheel.

if it doesn't have that^^^^ then it doesn't have abs
